State and Federal Tax Credits
For Photovoltaic System installed and placed in service after July 1, 2006, the State of Hawai'i offered taxpayers a 35% tax credit. Depending on the type of home you have, the credit is applied currently. TheFederal Government also acknowledges a tax credit of 30% with no limit for systems installed. Must be placed in service by December 31, 2016 and be a primary residence.
